Migakanai

Polishing means being rounded off until you are easier to accept. Hikari and Sora answer with one word, "Migakanai": I won't polish it.

"Migakanai" is an original song by Hagane Sakura 鋼の桜, blending J-pop idol rock with a militant marching pulse, sharp rhythmic verses, driving bass and drums, sparse guitar accents, piano motifs and layered female group vocals.

Here, polishing becomes a metaphor for being rounded off, corrected and made easier for everyone else to accept.

The song begins from something deeply personal.

Hikari leads the opening verses with a controlled, rhythmic delivery, describing the instinct to escape the hands trying to smooth away every rough edge.

But the answer is not perfection. It is refusal. I won't become identical just because uniformity is easier.
